Atlas Lobby Installation: Examination of the space

While examination the Atlas lobby space I noticed several things. First, the people who are staying within the space are all working at the tables. This can be either alone or with a group. If they are alone then generally they will sit with at least one seat in between them and the next person. If they are part of a group then they take over a corner of the table.

Second, people who are not staying in the space either walk straight through or are waiting for class or coffee. The people waiting for class usually lean against the wall across from the stairs looking at phones. This is a potential space for an installation. The people waiting for coffee all line up against the wall that leads into the coffee shop. This spot is a very good potential space for an installation against the wall as people are waiting for coffee.

The people that could be effectively targeted by an installation would be those waiting around. However since they aren't waiting for long the installation then becomes constrained into a project that can be interacted with in a very short amount of time.
